Hello there, there’s not going to be a mixtape this month because I didn’t really listen to any music that isn’t on countless of my other mixtapes already. So I thought I would show you all my monthly favourites. I’ve been doing this format for four months now & I hope to one day look back at the things I drew and remember the time I had then.
The last of the illustrations from the challenge I had with some friends plus some art I recently drew as well.
and now to some other art I made in the last weeks:

Find out how I plan an illustration from start to finish. First I decide what I want to draw and look up inspiration in the big wide web. Then I figure out the shapes and where I want to put things. Then I write a list of things I want to have in the picture, a garden gnome, a painter, pots, pans, toaster, marmalade, a pig lamp, amelie, photos … After that I look up references for those things (here all from the film ‘Amélie’). Then comes the messy line art and when I’m pleased with the outcome, I go over it with cleaner lines. Last but not least I colour it in 🙂
Little speed paint video:
I currently have this thing with some of my friends, where a word is posted everyday and everyone in the group has to draw something regarding that word until the next day. Here are some of the things I drew. Most of them are a bit strange but it’s a very good thing to practice new stuff – and to have to draw something everyday.
Hello friends, here are the nine songs I listend to on repeat for the last month. Click here to find it on Spotify.
Here are my seven drawings for the Blissplantweek, a drawing challenge.
Hello there, in this blog post you can find some of my recent gouache paintings. In the last half a year I only drew digitally and while I had a lot of fun with it, I started to get a kind of itching in my fingers to make something analog again. So on a rainy afternoon – as I stood at the bus stop next to the university I saw the art store over the street and decided to buy some gouache. I am having a lot of fun with this new medium and can’t wait to get better at it.
I also tried doing the Blissplantweek (a drawing challenge from the 14th to the 20th of July) with gouache. The challenge hasn’t started yet, but I already finished the paintings 🙂 Oh, and here you can see how I paint in three steps:
In this blogpost you can find one of my recent projects in university. I had a course this semester where we made some book covers. I plan on making some more over my summer break because I had a lot of fun drawing those.
Some small things I made over the last two weeks. Featuring Erwin the frog, a reading garden gnome, Link, a wizard cat, a little witch, some dinosaurs and ghosts.
