Hello there, there’s not going to be a mixtape this month because I didn’t really listen to any music that isn’t on countless of my other mixtapes already. So I thought I would show you all my monthly favourites. I’ve been doing this format for four months now & I hope to one day look back at the things I drew and remember the time I had then.
I’ve collected some tunes
That smell of summer
Found them in the sand in some hidden lagoons
They shimmer and shine in various colour
(And now they are yours and mine)
Some songs for campfires & road trips. Click here to get to the mixtape.
The last of the illustrations from the challenge I had with some friends plus some art I recently drew as well.
and now to some other art I made in the last weeks:
This blogpost is just a collection of my favourite Doctor Who videos :)) Ignore it, if you don’t watch the doctor – but let me say one thing – you should!! I hope to come here in the future and still miss Rory & Amy so much, and Rose and 10, and 11 in general. What’s your favourite Doctor Who villain? Mine are still the Weeping Angels, I hope to one day have one casually standing around in my garden, frightening my visitors. P.S. let me know in the comments if you have a funny or sad Doctor Who video for me.
These are some of my more recent book cover sketches. I really enjoyed making them, searching for little stuff from the stories to include on the covers. (If someone from Book Publishing is reading this, maybe you could consider me for some book cover jobs? I would really enjoy designing a classical book set.)
From this day on I now have a Patreon page 🙂 You could support me on there and get exclusive content.

Find out how I plan an illustration from start to finish. First I decide what I want to draw and look up inspiration in the big wide web. Then I figure out the shapes and where I want to put things. Then I write a list of things I want to have in the picture, a garden gnome, a painter, pots, pans, toaster, marmalade, a pig lamp, amelie, photos … After that I look up references for those things (here all from the film ‘Amélie’). Then comes the messy line art and when I’m pleased with the outcome, I go over it with cleaner lines. Last but not least I colour it in 🙂
Little speed paint video:
I currently have this thing with some of my friends, where a word is posted everyday and everyone in the group has to draw something regarding that word until the next day. Here are some of the things I drew. Most of them are a bit strange but it’s a very good thing to practice new stuff – and to have to draw something everyday.
Hello friends, here are the nine songs I listend to on repeat for the last month. Click here to find it on Spotify.
Here are my seven drawings for the Blissplantweek, a drawing challenge.
